Yes, we are open year round.

Why can't you always be reached by telephone?
Succah Bamidbar features no communication system whatsoever, neither a phone line nor cellular reception. We ask prospective guests to leave a message and return your call as soon as we listen to it.

How do I make reservations?
Make your reservation on the telephone and gives us your credit card number for security purposes only. Payment can be made by credit card, check or in cash. To avoid a cancellation fee, please make sure to notify us up to one week before your planned date.

When can I get there?
You must get here before sunset, never at night. Your succah will be ready for you in the early afternoon. Should you wish to arrive earlier, please make sure to notify us the day before.

Can I get there by public transportation?
You can, but you must arrange with us at least three days in advance. Take the train or bus to Beer Sheva, then Metropolin bus nr. 60 to Mitzpe Ramon, where we will meet you.

What should I bring?
Toiletry articles, a towel, flashlight (though not essential), warm clothes even in the summer. Keep food in a hermetic box or cooler.

Can I cook in the succah?
No. The succah has no running water and is not designed for cooking. A kettle and small gas burner are available to make hot drinks. There is no refrigerator in the succah. Remember to keep food in a hermetic box or cooler.

Are all the succot identical?
The succot feature identical amenities but differ in size and location--wadi or hill. If you have any special requests, please let us know when you make your reservation. We will try to meet them as long as they don't interfere with those of other guests.

Can I bring pets?
Sorry, you cannot bring pets to Succah Bamidbar.

Does the site offer activities?
Succah Bamidbar is a sleeping site that will allow you to experience desert quiet and space. We offer no activities but will be happy to recommend hikes or car trips.

What do we do with children?
Our experience has shown that children immediately feel at home in the desert and amid nature. We have pets and domestic animals that children like to pet and feed (horses, goats, donkeys, chicken, dogs, cats). The area offers plenty of attractions and itineraries suitable for children.

Can I light a camp fire or make barbecue?
Sorry, you cannot light a camp fire or make barbecue on our site. We can refer you to a nearby site where you can light a fire. However, you must bring your own wood, as the use of local vegetation is strictly forbidden.
